1. Friends. I’ve been away for a long time. I’ve been working on this. If any of you are still following please watch the video, help out the kickstarter, and repost this over and over and over again. I need your help.

Alright kids. I’ve been neglecting tumblr for far too long. Sorry about that. If you are still paying attention to this page thanks to the ultimate max.

    Here is what’s happening…

I’ve been talking about this album for a very long time now. Well, now it’s finally about to happen but on a way bigger scale. Not only are we working on a full length album, but with it we are producing an hour long animated film, both titled “Bring Down the Sky”.  This has been years of work and it’s starting to come together quite nicely with the help of our animator Aaron Booe, and our illustrator Allen Walton. More about those dudes in a minute.

The music, and the the story, and the art have all been inspired by all of our favorite bands, science fiction movies, video games, comic books, etc. The title is actually from the first DLC mission from the first Mass Effect for all my fellow gamers out there. The goal is to show the film when we play live, and put the whole thing out on CD and DVD.

Saturday we launched a kickstarter to fund the whole thing. Now I know, asking for money is a turn off to most people, but keep reading. In 5 days we have raised $1241. That number is steadily climbing but we have a long way to go. We need $8000 to fund the whole project, that includes paying for illustration and animation which aren’t cheap, studio time, pressing the discs, as well as creating all of our backer rewards.

This has been a labor of love for so long for so many different people involved in this project. It’s gotten so big, and we cannot do it without your help. Please, if you have the time go check out the kickstarter, pledge what you can, and share it with everyone. Repost this blog, post the link on your social media outlets. The best way to achieve this goal is to get it all over the internet. $8000 sounds like a lot of money, which it is, but for the scope of what we are doing it’s not much and we’ve already got a hell of a start.

Thank you everyone who has stuck with us over the years. We can’t do this without you. No click this link and let’s make it happen!

By the way our backer rewards are AWESOME. Want a CD and a DVD? How about posters, buttons, and t-shirts? No problem. What’s that? You wanna get weird? There are some tiers where you can have yourself drawn as a robot by our illustrator, AND even have that drawing of you put into the film. Your face, as a robot, for the world to see. There are also cool things like, I’ve promised to stop eating fast food for a year if we get halfway funded by next saturday. Or for life if we get totally funded. There are a lot of other awesome rewards but you have to go to the kickstarter page to learn more.

    I ALMOST FORGOT!

We put up new demo versions of songs from the album a few weeks ago. The song in the video is the first track.

  7. I check your blog, probably more than I should, hoping to find new journals and music. The things you make are important to me. I doubt that matters at all, but I wanted to let you know that I miss your updates.

I wish I know who you were, because I really appreciate this post. The last year of my life has been super insane and I haven’t been keeping up with this like I should. Good news is I recently got a new scanner, and I’m working on a massive project that will have updates posted here as I go. Thank you for the kind words whoever you are.

  8. Oh…hai.

You haven’t heard from me for a long time. That’s mostly because haven’t had access to a scanner so I haven’t been doing my journal. I am however still doing this.

Head on over to shipwreckkarpathos.bandcamp.com to get the skinny on what the hell I’ve been up to.

Also, I just got a scanner….so maybe I should start doing that shit again.

  9. Click to name your own price for a download of EP 2011»

It’s been over a year since we put out our 2011 EP, and I decided to put it up for download on band camp. Name your own price, download it, and tell your friends.image

  10. I’m still here.

So I’m once again on Catalina Island. I’ve been here since May and haven’t had access to a decent computer until mine came in the mail yesterday. There is a scanner here in camp but I don’t know how well it works, but I’m going to try to start posting again soon. BOOSH.

I borrowed this here ukulele, specifically so I could learn how to play this song because it’s awesome. It’s the Cowboy Song. It’s from Joe Vs. the Volcano which is, and always will be, my favorite movie of all time. If you haven’t seen it, get on it. Or don’t talk to me. I’m srs.

I don’t know who originally did this song, and I don’t give a shit because no one but Tom Hanks should be able to do it ever. Including me.

    …My bad Tommy.

I’m at a point in my life where I don’t really know where I’m going, and I don’t know who will be there when I get there, but I’m slowly starting be okay with all of that.

    Blah.

Just a twenty-something dude who likes to quote movies, songs, friends, and his own brain, put it down on paper, and hope maybe someone else connects with it in some way. Also I play music and stuff about that will probably sneak in from time to time.

I think the internet and girls are weird.
I think dinosaurs and comic books are awesome.
